Privacy Policy

Who we are

MSG Teens (msgteens.com) is a student-run platform founded by Joshua Wright, an 8th grader at Central Catholic in Pittsburgh, PA. The site exists to share real stories about teenagers who were misunderstood, and to change how adults perceive teens.

What information we collect

We collect information only when you choose to give it to us:

• Email address and name — when you sign up to join our movement or mailing list.
• Story submissions — if you submit a story through our Google Form, we collect the content you provide (name, story details, school if you choose to share it).
• Role — we ask whether you're a student, parent, teacher, or other when you sign up, so we can understand our audience.

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics tools. We do not collect any information automatically when you browse the site.

How we use your information

• Email list: We use your name and email to send occasional updates about new stories, events, or news from MSG Teens. We do not send spam. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us.
• Story submissions: If we publish your story, we will contact you first to confirm your consent and to let you review how your story is presented. We never publish a story without the submitter's approval.
• We do not sell, share, rent, or trade your personal information with any third party — ever.

Children's privacy (under 13)

MSG Teens is not directed at children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit your information. If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 has submitted information to us, contact us at hello@msgteens.com and we will delete it immediately.

Teens ages 13–17

If you are between 13 and 17, we encourage you to review this policy with a parent or guardian before signing up. We handle your information with the same care as adult data. You have the right to ask us to delete your information at any time.

Where your data is stored

Email signups are stored in Google Sheets via Google's infrastructure. Story submissions go through Google Forms, also stored securely by Google. We do not operate our own database or server to store personal information.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we have about you
• Correct any information that is wrong
• Delete your information entirely
• Unsubscribe you from our email list

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will not notify existing subscribers of minor changes, but significant changes will be communicated by email.
